BroadCD002
RELEASE DATE: 22ND MAY 2006
In a time where the traditional sound of vinyl spinning under a diamond stylus fades deeper into our minds as a distant memory. Broadcite presents ‘Internal reflection’ simply a musical adventure that takes you off the beaten track. Broadcite is a collective of individuals exploring a fusion of musical genre, incorporating Broken beat, Nu jazz, Electronica and Latin through to experimental Hip-hop. This debut compilation shows off the production talents of the Broadcite artists whilst also showcasing tracks from other like minded producers, to create an album on the innovative edge of modern electronic soul.
From the broken funk of Method Unique, the experimental fusion sounds of TRoy and the twisted future jazz of Altered Natives, it’s impossible to ignore the breadth and depth of talent within the Broadcite camp. 13) Black science orchestra 'head space lullaby'
After blowing the dust off our backpack in the vaults of Afro art records, we found this great live version of the original dance floor filler 'Headspace lullaby'.
One of the last things recorded before their untimely demise the 'Black science orchestra's harmonica laden instrumental was a taster for the unfinished alum 'Mass'. Feturing the talents of Marc woolford and partner Paul Murphy. Over the years Black science orchestra's music has been played at the more esoteric radio shows and club nights, fully endorsed by DJ's such as Dr Bob Jones and the Kyoto jazz massive.
