Yam Who - Revue
Release date: November 6th, 2006
'Revue' chronicles some of Yam Who?'s recent reworks and features their excellent debut single, a cover of the Minnie Ripperton classic 'Here We Go'.
Yam Who? have become notorious producers and remixers since their unsolicited reworks for the likes of Raphael Saadiq, Pharrell and Dwele took the world's more discerning clubs by storm. This led to a truckload of remix and production offers from a plethora of artists as diverse as Zero 7, Amp Fiddler, Rodney P, Bebel Gilberto and John Legend. That coupled with their voracious work ethic has singled Yam Who? out as the hottest production unit around right now!
This album focuses mainly on the cream of emerging UK talent to whom Yam Who? have lent their production skills, including Elmore Judd, Alison Crockett, Emmanuel, Jeymes Samuel and Colonel Red as well as stalwarts like Incognito and Rodney P. Their work is globally appreciated as demonstrated here by their remixes of acts from as far afield as Heavy and Megablast.
Yam Who? are currently working on their own original material to be released in 2007, and DJ'ing relentlessly. Look out for more singles throughout the autumn as well as more reworks, remixes and productions, including some joints on the new Amp Fiddler Album.
